17 Years

Ok. So, my doctor was bored, I was bored.
So, what do two people do when they're bored?
They..

TALK.

So here's the deal.
5 years of MBBS:
1st Year:
  • Anatomy
  • Physiology
  • Biochemistry
2nd Year:
  • Pathology
  • Parasitology
  • Microbiology
  • Pharmatology
3rd Year:
  • Medicine
  • Surgery
  • Paediatric
  • Obstetric
4th & 5th Year:
  • ENT
  • Ophthalmology
  • Orthopedic
  • Radiology
  • A & E
  • Anesthesiology
  • Primary Care
Next up: two years of housemanship:
  • Medicine - 4 months
  • Paediatric - 4 months
  • Surgery - 4 months
  • Obstetric & Gynecology - 4 months
  • Orthopedic - 4 months
  • A & E - 4 months
Then you'll have to service for 3 years as a medical officer (M.O.)

THEN... 4 Years of Masters study where you decide to focus on one of the following fields:
  • Family Medicine
  • Internal Medicine
  • Paediatric
  • Surgery
  • Orthopedic
  • A & E
  • Oncology
  • Sports Medicine
  • Rehab
  • and some other fields I really can't read his handwriting.
Not done.. You'll be Sub Specializing in your field for 3 years.

Yay! SO~ When I'm finally a specialist, I'll be 35 years old.
LOL
Owh. There's a faster pathway where you take an external examination. It takes only 3 years to specialize instead of 7 years. BUT. According to the Dr. Maurice, the exam is damn tough. So YEA~

ok.
I hope I don't dry up by then.
